Join us for a 2-ish mile hike in Crockett Hills Regional Park. We'll meet at the entrance gate close to the parking lot roundabout near the restroom and head up the trail by 9:35 am. Depending on the flow of the group, we may incorporate some mindfulness/meditation and stretching.
Date: Saturday, November 12th, 2022
Time: Meet by 9:30 am. We'll start hiking up the trail 9:35 am and wrap up by 11:30 am.*
Location: Crockett Hills Regional Park, 1300 Crockett Blvd, Crockett, CA 94525
Trail: Edwards Trail to Wood Rat Trail and back down Crockett Ranch Trail (about 2 miles), unless the group wants to add a Soaring Eagle Trail loop (see park map). The trail starts off fairly level and steadily climbs before descending back to the parking lot. While the trail is maintained, there are steeper sections. Hiking poles may be helpful for some folks.
Notes: This hike is family and dog friendly. It's recommended you dress in layers, bring a sun hat, sunscreen, water and a snack. A restroom with a pit toilet is located at the base of the trail. There may not be a hand washing station, so you may want to bring hand sanitizer. On the trail, keep an eye open for mount bikers coming around bends.
*Visit Wanda's in Crockett for coffee / tea and a fresh-baked pastry before they sell out. They open at 9 am!
